Fall has nearly arrived to Minnesota and with the season changing comes the American custom of celebrating Homecoming Week! The International School of Minnesota celebrated Homecoming week last week (September 6-11) with many activities. On Tuesday, students were wearing all-black clothing as part of “Black Out” day instead of their regular uniforms. The following day students dressed as their favorite Disney character. The theme for Thursday was blanket and pajama day which all students really love to do, since they don’t have to change clothes too much! Friday was centered around school spirit (cheer) day where students wore their favorite school apparel for the mid-day pep fest. The week concluded with a fun Homecoming Dance on Saturday, which is part of the annual school tradition.

As part of our International Week (September 19 -24) we will have Maasai Warriors from Kenya come for a school assembly to speak to our students–wow! Selected students will also be participating in WE Day Minnesota, which will celebrate the change that ISM students make in our communities. Our 4th Annual International Day celebration will be held on the 24th which celebrates the diversity at our school.

We look forward to our continued partnership with you in the 2016-2017 school year! Remember that you can always forward this email to interested families or click our social media buttons to follow our pages. Cheers!
