Lyndon Institute is an independent, co-educational day and boarding school with approximately 600 students in grades 9 -12 located in the beautiful north-eastern part of Vermont. The school occupies 150 acres in the middle of the historic New England village of Lyndon Center. Lyndon Institute’s 27 buildings include networked classrooms, a library/multi-media center, a 650-seat auditorium, a 250-seat dining hall and extensive sports facilities, including two gymnasiums and eight playing fields. Courses in the college preparatory curriculum include Advanced Placement (AP) and honors courses, which position students well for admission to top-ranked colleges and universities. Technical courses range from computer-aided design to graphic arts courses, which prepare students to pursue degrees in architecture, engineering, or graphic design. ESOL courses are also offered and international students make up about 14% of the student body. Boarding students live on campus in 3 large and 4 smaller cottage-style dormitories and enjoy over 20 diverse extra-curricular opportunities, as well as 15 different sports, including soccer, ice hockey, Alpine and Nordic skiing, golf, and track and field. Local and regional field trips take place frequently for boarding students and there are organized activities for the students every weekend. Lyndon Institute is a great place to study and learn! We strive to include students meaningfully in every aspect of our program.
