Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, a member of the State System of Higher Education, was established in 1866. The campus is located on 289 acres in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania, and is an easy drive or bus ride to New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C.; a bus terminal in walking distance of campus has daily routes to all of these destinations. Of the approximately 9,200 undergraduate and graduate students, international students represent 30 countries spanning five continents. Kutztown University provides outstanding academic programs. For undergraduate students, there are over 100 areas of study. In the graduate school, there are 21 Master's degree programs spanning an array of disciplines. The university has a student-to-faculty ratio of 20:1, and students are taught and advised by professors only. Kutztown University recently earned AACSB accreditation for it's programs in Accounting, Finance, Management, and Marketing as well as the MBA program. The Master of Computer Science program was recognized as one of the top 100 in the U.S. by the Financial Times Engineer, a leading business technology journal. The Sport Management program earned COSMA accreditation, one of only 45 programs in the country with COSMA recognition. In addition, there are over 200 campus organizations that provide students with an opportunity to engage in community life.
