Established in 1924, Villanova is a secondary, coeducational day and boarding school located in the Ojai Valley, just north of Los Angeles. In the Augustinian tradition, the mission of Villanova Preparatory School is to graduate mature young adults of diverse backgrounds who reflect the qualities of truth, unity, and love. The school does this by providing a challenging college preparatory curriculum and Catholic environment that promote the development of mind, heart and body. These young adults will think, judge, and act in ways that are sound and in keeping with the teachings of Jesus Christ. With a student population of 260, consisting of about 90 boarding students, Villanova's small school atmosphere fosters confidence and interdependence while maintaining a supportive and inclusive environment. Athletics and extra-curricular activities range in both skill and commitment, which entices students to try anew: nearly 90% of students participate in at least one sport, many for the first time. Villanova is an IB candidate school and expects visitation in Spring 2015.
