Coquitlam is the third largest public school district in the province of British Columbia, Canada. We offer an ideal setting for international students to pursue their studies while actively involving themselves in all that the community has to offer. Located in the Greater Vancouver area, Coquitlam is nestled in the mountains and edged by the Pacific Ocean and the Fraser River. We enjoy a mild climate, a safe suburban environment and an active lifestyle. Students reside in a homestay, and have the opportunity to make friends and get involved with a variety of extracurricular activities. The School District has 67 schools (including 8 high schools) to serve international students grades K-12. We offer Elementary, Middle and High School academic and career programs, with a wide range of course offerings in modern facilities. We also offer an excellent Summer Program for individual students or for groups during the months of July and August. Our teaching staff are B.C. Government Ministry of Education certified teachers. We have a B.C. Government approved curriculum, leading to a Secondary school graduation diploma that is recognized by all Canadian and USA universities. We are the largest feeder district for international students to the University of British Columbia (U.B.C.). Our schools have a history of academic excellence.
