Bow Valley College is a public community college, specializing in delivering quality, adult education and training programs for almost 50 years. We are governed by the Government of Alberta's Post Secondary Learning Act. We specialize in Academic English as a Second Language, Academic Upgrading (High School Upgrading), and government recognized one-year Certificate and two-year Diploma programs. Our undergraduate programs focus on business, health care, justice studies, and early childhood education. Our short and economical Career programs, which include practical experience, enable students to be "job ready" upon graduating. Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Calgary, a young, vibrant metropolitan centre, our campus is close to the beautiful Bow River, minutes from downtown shopping, and has easy access to public transportation. Only an hour away are the Rocky Mountains and the famous town of Banff. Calgary is Canada's 4th largest city, an economic hub in Canada, safe, and recently identified as the 5th most liveable city in the world. Upon successful completion of a diploma program, graduates can apply for a Post-Graduate work permit and stay in Canada and work for up to 2 years. Graduates could also chose to transfer to one of our university partners and work towards completing their degree.
