Northern Arizona University was founded in 1899 and is a public, coeducational, state university of approximately 17,000 undergraduates and 2,000 graduates. We offer over 85 bachelor’s degrees, 46 masters and 9 doctoral programs and students can study business, engineering, science, social science and liberal studies. We welcome over 1,080 international students from 60 countries on our traditional college campus which is located in the small city of Flagstaff, Arizona. Flagstaff is at 2,200 meters altitude and has a population of 60,000. It is a short drive from such attractions as the Grand Canyon, and Las Vegas, Nevada. The support from administration, faculty, staff and students for international efforts on our campus is expansive. These efforts were nationally recognized as Northern Arizona University is a 2012 honoree of NAFSA’s Paul Simon Award for Campus Internationalization. As part of our globalization efforts we are focused on strategic partnerships with partners abroad to provide faculty, staff and student exchange opportunities.
