SQUAW VALLEY ACADEMY is a co-educational, university preparatory international boarding school at Lake Tahoe, California for 100+ students in grades 9-12. Students have full English immersion and attend regular academic classes with American students. Sports include daily skiing, daily snowboarding, soccer, swimming, hiking, rock climbing, and mountain biking. We are located 2 km from Squaw Valley USA, home of the 1960 Olympics, with thirty ski lifts. SVA graduates are accepted 100% to US colleges and universities. SVA is fully accredited, and our main courses are approved by University of California. SVA is an official SAT, ACT, and TOEFL Junior Test Site. SVA offers summer school credit. Students may attend three or six weeks, improve English skills, and have fun in outdoor sports. SVA is a safe, clean campus at the edge of Tahoe National Forest and within 8km of clear Lake Tahoe. At elevation 2,000m SVA has the full range of seasonal climate with 300 days of sunshine. SVA is 300km from San Francisco, and students fly into Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) at Reno, Nevada, 60km from SVA. Many SVA students are US citizens, and we also host students worldwide.
