Pukekohe is situated 35 mins by car from Auckland airport, 45 mins from Auckland city.  Pukekohe High School offers a wide range of subjects/options including outdoor education, award winning music groups- stage band/orchestra, performing arts, Agriculture/Horticulture, Catering/Hospitality, Photography/Digital design, Languages and an excellent ESOL programme for beginners to advanced with teacher aides.  Esol classes are smaller to ensure all students receive individual assistance from trained teachers. After school activities/clubs include rugby,soccer,equestrian, tennis, cricket, hockey, netball, badminton, basket ball, drama.We currently have 33 international students represented from 13 countries. Enrolments are accepted at the beginning of each term (long/short term), group inquiries welcome.   Pukekohe Intermediate is a co-educational school, enrolling students in Year 7 and Year 8 aged between 10 and 13 offering an initial intensive English language course 1 ½ hours daily with the remainder of the day in a mainstream class, the ideal pathway towards secondary school education.   Students have two NZ buddies who ensure they are cared for and involved in all class and playground activities.  International Student Ambassadors ensure students are cared for. Students follow the New Zealand curriculum and essential learning areas in Literacy, Numeracy, Science, PE , Health, Social Studies, the Arts, Technology.  Students are encouraged to become involved in sports, choir, orchestra, music, productions and dance.
