University-wide enrolment exceeds 6,000 students roughly distributed as follows: 1,000 at Fayette, 2,000 at domestic centers, 2,500 in distance education, and 1,000 overseas. A brief introductory video to UIU and a PDF brochure highlighting the University (including majors) can be found online at http://uiu.edu/aboutuiu/glance.html and http://www.uiu.edu/international/docs/CIE_Brochure_Chinese.pdf respectively. UIU envisions developing global citizens who are prepared for leadership roles within society and embrace a philosophy of lifelong. Accordingly, the recently-created Center for International Education (CIE), has been charged with the development and execution of an institutional internationalization.
