The Orme School offers a distinctive, Western experience--a beautiful 300 acre campus nestled in a 26,000 acre working cattle ranch for grades 8 through 12 plus a Post-graduate year. We are in close proximity to the cultural opportunities found in a major city (Phoenix), just an hour away. Now in our 84th year, we offer challenging academics in a small class setting (average class is 10) including Advance Placement courses, along with a wide range of opportunities in fine arts, athletics, horsemanship and outdoor leadership. Adding to the Orme experience are opportunities for experiential learning during our annual Caravan excursions and Fine Arts Festival. Our excellent ESL Department and strong sense of community make us especially welcoming to international students. Students are graded in each subject every week and, by using our Net Classroom program, parents can continually monitor their child's progress from anywhere in the world where there is an internet connection. In addition to our school year, we offer summer programs, both camp and school, and an ESL Institute for students. We also host international groups seeking outdoor/camping excursions in a Western environment.
