The Ladysmith International Program (LISP) at Ladysmith High School (LHS) welcomes students from around the globe who wish to enrich their life experiences by participating in an excellent American high school that has an outstanding cultural immersion program. LHS is a public 9-12 boarding school. LISP provides students a rigorous public education in a caring and supportive rural Wisconsin setting. LHS has a strong history of creating opportunities for all students through innovative approaches to learning. Students have the option to take a variety of university courses along with the traditional academics including many Advance-Placement classes. In addition, LHS offers 3 complete college diploma programs (EMT, CNA, and Dental Assistant), as well as many opportunities in co-curriculars such as athletics and clubs. All of these are enhanced by a wealth of recreational and cultural opportunities throughout the area. While students reside in a dormitory, they have the opportunity of a family experience through community connections, in which students are connected with a specific host family who will meet with the students at least once a month. Numerous excursions are available where students can experience skiing, sledding, ball games, shopping, hiking, and a variety of other local and regional activities. Additional tutoring in courses and the English language are available. Academic success is primary in providing students a full American experience.
