The ELC is a support department within the University of Liverpool which offers English for Academic Purposes, General English and bespoke courses, including teacher development. We are looking for partners to help us promote our courses, particularly in Europe, from where we currently recruit only a small number of students. Our Academic English courses are primarily aimed at applicants who may wish to go on to study on academic programmes at the University, while our general English programme, Activate English, is open to all comers and is offered at from Elementary to Advanced level. It is aimed at adults and also offers the opportunity to prepare for IELTS, where required. In addition, students can choose between three options, namely full tiem study (21 hours), morning only study of general English (15 hours) or afternoon only study towards IELTS (6 hours). Students at the ELC are fully registered students at the University of Liverpool and enjoy the use of all the services and facilities offered to students on academic programmes. In addition, they can also take advantage of the inclusive ELC social programme and dedicated welfare facilities. The ELC is based on the University's city centre campus in the beutiful city of Liverpool and our premises are just beginning a major refurbishment and upgrade.
