The American International School Salzburg is an overseas American boarding school which provides a demanding college-preparatory education to students from around the world between the ages of 12 and 19. The school, founded in 1976, is located in one of the most beautiful and culturally-rich cities in the world. Our setting, programs, and instructional philosophy provide outstanding preparation for university studies following graduation. AIS-Salzburg graduates go on to attend some of the most prestigious universities in North America, Europe, and worldwide. During the months of July and August, AIS-Salzburg provides instruction in German and English to students between the ages of 10 and 19. Courses are two weeks in length and can be combined to six weeks total. All students are housed in the school dormitories in double or triple rooms with en suite bathrooms. Groups can be booked during the summer sessions, provided room is available. Five hours of language instruction per day as well as afternoon and evening activities included in tuition provide excellent opportunities for linguistic improvement as well as fun and activity with fellow students.
